Brewing

Well, I'm an avid and far too encouragable homebrewer. I like making British and American style "real-ales". I've made everything from golden pale, almost lager like summer thirstquenchers to thick, creamy winter stouts. I brew from grain, and haven't touched a kit in anger for years.

I also had an incredible opportunity from some friends to become a small part of Sandstone Brewery which is now brewing on the Wrexham Industrial Estate and beers are now available in pubs and festivals around the region.

Click the links on the left hand side to find out more information about my brews, equipment, recipes, tips and all sorts of other brewing stuff. There may even be some photos (I'm allowed to show off sometimes!).

If anyone would like to turn their hand to brewing and are around the Wrexham/Chester area, I'm quite willing to show people how it's done. As far as I'm concerned the more people brewing good beer, the better. It's a far cry from the tasteless piss that the major breweries are trying to make us all drink. And please, if you enjoy proper beer, join The Campaign for Real Ale. Beards and man-boobs are optional (even on the women).
